Bon Odori 2023, Kompleks Sukan Negara Shah Alam, Selangor, 22/07/2023 (Edited & Updated: 26/07/2023)

Being a fan of Japanese anime and culture, there is one event I haven't visited yet: Bon Odori. This event was held at Kompleks Sukan Negara (Panasonic Stadium), Shah Alam to celebrate the friendship between Malaysia and Japan, and this year marks the 47th year of the event being held, although it was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike the one in Japan, Bon Odori in Malaysia is a cultural festival and has no religious significance at all.

Even if Bon Odori has no religious significance (here in Malaysia, at least), it won't stop detractors (particularly, Arab wannabe religious extremists!) from bashing this event or anyone visiting it. To make matters worse, a bunch of Japanophobes would bring up Japan's war crimes just to mock or criticise this event!

Alright, enough of my ranting. In this blog post, it's about my visit to Bon Odori that was held at Panasonic Stadium in Shah Alam on 22nd July 2023. So, before I proceed with this writing, I would like to remind those cultural xenophobes (I really mean it!) who loathe this event,

STAY OUT!

WHY I NO LONGER MISS ANIMAX A.K.A. LEGAL ALTERNATIVES TO ANIMAX (EDITED & UPDATED: 13/12/2023)

(Original publish date: 04/07/2023. Last updated & edited: 13/12/2023)

Ever since Animax ceased broadcast on 1st January 2022, I have looked for alternatives to watch anime. In fact, ever since my house gets home fibre broadband service after that, I can now watch anime online (legally, of course) without having to worry about depleting internet quota.

Although Animax has been relaunched on 1st May this year on Media Prima's tonton online streaming platform along with its sister channel GEM, I honestly never miss or care about it anymore (thanks to LPF and Astro, that is!), as I have found better alternatives to that.

And so, here are the (legal) alternatives to Animax that I've found:

AnimeFest 2023 Day One, IOI City Mall, 24th June 2023

It has been more than a week since I last went to AnimeFest 2023 at IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre inside IOI City Mall. Once again, it's writer's block (or as some detractors would say, LAZINESS!), and I am having a hard time trying to come up with something to write.

I guess, I AM feeling my age already!

Anyway, in this new (and late) blog post, it is about my experience at AnimeFest 2023.

TORIPAITAN EXTREME RAMEN, AT SEIROCK-YA IOI CITY MALL

It has been a while since I went dining for Japanese food at a restaurant in a shopping mall. Normally, I would go to Mid Valley Megamall for some Japanese food at Sukiya restaurant. Yesterday, I went to IOI City Mall for some early birthday shopping, as my birthday is on Tuesday.

It was here that I decided to try ramen from this restaurant called Ramen Seirock-ya.

GREEN TEA

As I have a tendency to sweat profusely, this also created another problem: body odour. One of the best ways I could do to reduce body odour is by using a bath brush when bathing. Although bathing alone can reduce body odour, the food we eat can also affect our body odour, too.

That is, until recently, I discovered one particular drink that can help solve my body odour problems: green tea.

Comic Fiesta 2022 (ANTI-WEEB SHITPOSTERS, GET THE F**K OFF!)

Before I begin, I would like to wish whoever reading this a Happy New Year.

Anyway, it has been a while since I stopped writing. Honestly, I am too stressed to write due to creative block and the COVID-19 pandemic. Although things have gotten better now, I am honestly stressed by the damage done by the pandemic, and I am also furious by the toxicity and stupidity of religious extremists who openly defended the coronavirus.

After two years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Comic Fiesta is finally back on 17th and 18th December 2022. Just like last time in 2019, Comic Fiesta is held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). However, unlike all the Comic Fiesta exhibitions before it, this year's Comic Fiesta no longer have on-site ticketing, so visitors must buy the early bird tickets to visit the event.

Although I admit that using social media sites (example: Facebook) is much better than blogging, I decided to stick to blogging. Besides, social media sites are highly notorious for toxic netizens who seem to enjoy hurting others for fun; Hence the term, 'Facebook depression.'

And so, allow me to proceed with this writing.

Oh, and to those 'anti-weeb shitposters' who are stalking my blog, GET THE F**K OFF!
