Back in 2017, I once showed proof of KOSMO newspaper's strong unemployment-bashing journalism by comparing similar news articles in two newspapers (Kosmo! and Harian Metro), where KOSMO openly disclose a person's unemployment status when other newspapers don't (link here). This time, I decided to prove it again, by comparing one news article in FIVE Malay language news websites (including KOSMO).
And so, here it is. The proof. An article about a drug addict threatening his parents over a TV, published on 8th September by five news websites, along the links to those articles:

Although the news is similar, there is one obvious difference in KOSMO website: the use of the word 'penganggur' (Malay word for a jobless person). In fact, I used the Search function (F3 button) on Chrome, and found the word only on KOSMO article, while the other four news websites showed none of it. In KOSMO article, the writer openly disclose the drug addict's supposedly unemployment status; Meanwhile, in the other four websites, the writers did not disclose the drug addict's unemployment status at all.
I guess this is how KOSMO newspaper make money: Selling it at RM 1, and deliberately label any criminal as 'penganggur' with the intent of instigating readers to bash jobless people. I guess in KOSMO journalism dictionary, the word 'penganggur' is what they used only for criminals, regardless whether the criminals are unemployed or not.
So, there you have it. Proof of KOSMO newspaper's unemployment-bashing journalism!
